Responsibilities

The Community Development Department oversees the Building and Zoning and the Planning divisions.

The department is responsible for:

• Coordinating long-range planning;
• Administering the appropriate City ordinances relative to development and Historic Preservation within the context of the City's Comprehensive Master Plan;
• Issuing building permits; and
• Enforcing related City codes.
