Brush Collection

Brush Collection Map

The City's 2026 monthly brush collection program runs from April to November. The program is intended for the disposal of limbs/branches that are removed by the property owner for normal maintenance and upkeep, not for lot clearing. The City's contractor will not collect brush material produced by a private company or service residences that have designated homeowners' associations (HOA) to maintain their property.

How To Prepare Brush/Limbs

brush collectionResidents should follow these instructions to dispose of brush properly:

  • All limbs must be stacked with cut ends in one direction and facing the curb or edge of pavement. Do not place brush in the street.
  • Branches cannot exceed 12 inches in diameter and 12 feet in length. Stumps cannot exceed 12 inches in diameter.
  • Do no tie bundles of limbs/branches with rope or wire.
  • No foreign materials should be included, such as construction debris, fence posts, lumber, fencing and wire.
  • Grass clippings, flowers, garden waste, and small limbs will not be collected. These materials must be placed in stickered yard waste paper bags that are picked up on normal garbage days.

The progress map, which will be updated daily when the City's contractor is working in Geneva, details what neighborhoods have been picked up to date and what work remains for the month. Severe storms could delay the timeliness of the pickups due to high volume.
