However, like all utilities, we are susceptible to outages caused by bad weather, animals, equipment issues and more. This blog is designed to provide updates on what caused outages after service has been restored. Large-scale incidents will be posted in real-time on the City's Alert Center on the our website homepage. Customers can subscribe to receive these updates via Notify Me.

[ARCHIVED] Kirk Road Water Tower Painting Starts In September

The original item was published from September 4, 2025 2:21 PM to November 1, 2025 12:00 AM

The Kirk Road water tower in Geneva will be receiving a fresh new look this fall.

The public will notice sandblasting work beginning the week of Sept. 8 on the 500,000-gallon water tower located northeast of the Kirk Road and Fabyan Parkway intersection. The structure will be painted in the same color scheme as the Dodson Street water tower.

The logo will include the words "Welcome to Geneva, Est. 1835" on the southwest side of the tower. A similar, but simplified logo will be applied to the northwest side.

The project is expected to be completed in six weeks, weather permitting. For more information, call the Geneva Public Works Department Water Division at 630-232-1551.
