More than 600 Geneva customers in the Pepper Valley and Randall Square subdivisions lost power Oct. 22.

The outage occurred after a worker was removing an electric wire when it was accidentally dropped onto another energized line at 1:35 p.m. The incident triggered an outage affecting 637 customers in the two subdivisions, as well as customers along Randall Road.

Geneva Public Works crews successfully cleared the wire and re-energized the circuit, restoring power to all customers by 2:07 p.m.
