[ARCHIVED] Comcast Issues Equipment Update To Customers

Cable TV

Comcast is notifying customers with older legacy set top box converters that they will need to exchange them for new models free of charge.

Completing the exchange will enable customers to continue to receive all the channels in their subscription as well provide a better viewing experience, according to Comcast. Older devices do not offer all the new features and will eventually lose service.

Impacted customers will receive a detailed letter providing them with instructions on how to exchange their equipment.

For more information, visit Comcast's website or call 800-934-6489 and mention "equipment update."

The City of Geneva is helping spread the word to residents due to a franchise agreement with Comcast.
