The Geneva City Council recognized talented artists who showcased their creativity in the City's 2021 "Art on Fire" hydrant design competition.

Hanna Dworkin and Kathleen Brockett won first place for "The Big Red Fire Hydrant" located on Brighton Drive (pictured). Angelina Oliva Trejo's "Sunset" hydrant on Division Street, Will Ris' "Geneva's People" on South Street; and Roger Godskesen's "Key Lime Stars" on Dodson Street earned second, third, and fourth place honors respectively.

The City of Geneva, in collaboration with the Cultural Arts Commission, has sought artists to adopt and paint fire hydrants throughout the community. With more than 100 hydrants painted since 2013, "Art on Fire" has been well received by residents and visitors who have taken notice of the public artwork throughout the community.
