[ARCHIVED] Geneva Flag Lowered For Former Alderman Richard Walls

City Hall Flag Lowered

The Geneva Flag at City Hall was lowered to half-staff in memory of Richard Walls, 91, a former alderman who died Jan. 18.

Mr. Walls was elected Second Ward alderman in 1967 and held that seat on the Geneva City Council for eight years. Afterward, he served on the Geneva Public Library Board for many years.

In the business world, Mr. Walls opened the former Dick's Texaco station at the corner of State and Fourth streets in downtown Geneva.

Mr. Wall's obituary can be found online.

The City of Geneva extends its condolences to the Walls family members for their loss.
