Geneva Police officers will be present at two Dunkin’ stores to collect donations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s 20th annual Cop On a Rooftop event Friday, May 19. Money raised benefits Special Olympics Illinois.
From 6 to 11 a.m. May 19, officers will be stationed on Dunkin’ rooftops at 206 E. State St., Geneva and partnering with Batavia officers at the 2002 W. Wilson St., Batavia. Patrons who make a donation May 19 at a participating location will receive a free doughnut coupon. Guests donating at least $10 will earn a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug, while supplies last, and a coupon for a free medium coffee.
The Cop on a Rooftop event is one of several fundraising platforms for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is a collaborative effort from police departments across the nation to raise money for Special Olympics.
