Geneva Public Works will replace an underground water service overnight May 13 into Tuesday, May 14 on State Street (Route 38) near Route 31.

Starting at 11 p.m. May 13, Geneva Public Works will shut down the two westbound State Street traffic lanes. One temporary westbound lane will be open but shifted south to use what normally is the left-hand turn lane. Motorists should expect delays and may want to consider alternate routes to reach their destination.

Performing the work overnight will limit the traffic disruption on State Street, and the repair is anticipated to be completed by 7 a.m. May 14. All traffic lanes on Route 31 and the eastbound lanes of State Street are expected to remain open during construction.
