"West Suburban Living" magazine readers once again ranked Geneva as the premier community for dining, shopping and festivals as part of its 2024 "Best of the West" survey.

Geneva was named the top city readers would most like to live (other than choosing their hometown). No other municipality has earned that distinction as many times as Geneva during the magazine's two-plus decades of conducting the survey. Geneva also garnered first-place honors for the best downtown for shopping and third place for "Best Mall/Shopping Center" with Geneva Commons.

Numerous Geneva businesses were recognized in a variety of survey categories. We are not trying to start any beef, but Geneva may be Burger City USA after Burger Local, Country House and BASH swept the survey's best burger category.

Swedish Days was chosen "Best Festival" by readers while Festival of the Vine notched third place. The Geneva Arts Fair was ranked the third "Best Craft or Art Show," and the Geneva French Market earned third place for "Best Farmers Market."
