Geneva residents headed to the polls to cast their ballots for several open seats on the Geneva City Council during the April 1 consolidated election.

The Kane County Clerk’s Office officially certified the election results April 15. Contested races for Geneva City Council seats for Mayor and three aldermanic seats (with vote totals) were:

Uncontested Races

The winners of several uncontested races included William Malecki (Ward 1), Richard Marks (Ward 2), Mark Reinecke (Ward 5, two-year term), and Vicki Kellick (City Clerk). No candidates filed to run for City Treasurer.

All offices carry a four-year term unless otherwise noted.

The newly elected officials are scheduled to take their seats during the Monday, May 5 City Council meeting.
