The Geneva Public Works Facility will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 11, to customers visiting the building at 1800 South St.
The Public Works Facility will be closed due to scheduled maintenance on an electric transformer, which will require an extended power outage during the day. The planned outage will not disrupt electric service to nearby residential customers.
Even though the facility will be closed, Geneva Public Works employees will be working as normal out in the field. Public Works phone lines will continue to be operational, with calls being rerouted to employees working out out of different City buildings for the day. Find phone numbers for the Public Works Department Streets, Electric, Engineering, and Water divisions in our staff directory.
The public also can report non-emergency concerns online using the City's SeeClickFix platform.
Residents will still be able to access the City's free mulch pile located outside the Geneva Public Works Facility.
All other City buildings will be open to the public Nov. 11. Public Works is scheduled to resume regular business hours on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Facility. Public Works is open to the public from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
