[ARCHIVED] City Flag Lowered In Memory Of Geneva Resident Don Forni

The City of Geneva has lowered the City flag at all of its buildings to honor the life of Don Forni, who passed away Aug. 21.

Mayor Kevin Burns said Mr. Forni was a longtime Geneva resident, a Park District employee and “a friend of all things Geneva.”

Forni, 76, worked for the Geneva Park District for 38 years and had a park named after him. He also was a member of the Geneva Lions Club.

You can read more about Mr. Forni’s community contributions in the Kane County Chronicle at the link below. The Geneva City Council will hold a moment of silence to remember Mr. Forni prior to its Aug. 24 meeting. The City extends condolences to the Forni family.
