[ARCHIVED] Kane County Scheduled To Perform Randall Road Bridge Inspection July 6

The Kane County Division of Transportation will be inspecting the Randall Road bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad in Geneva Wednesday, July 6.

This work will require a single lane closure between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Randall Road. Motorists should prepare for possible travel delays, reduce their speed, exercise caution and be extra alert. Drivers must also watch for and obey flaggers and other traffic control devices within the work zone.

The inspections are being conducted as part of the County’s ongoing bridge inspection and
maintenance programs. Information obtained during the inspections is used to load rate the structures as well as plan future bridge maintenance, rehabilitation and/or replacement projects.

A reminder – it is illegal for drivers to talk on a cell phone while driving through a highway construction zone.

Questions and concerns may be directed to KDOT's Steve Coffinbargar at 630-406-7170. For all Kane County Traffic Advisories, see the link below.
