Kane County announced highway safety improvement projects are scheduled to begin the week of Sept. 27 on Fabyan Parkway and Randall Road located in Geneva and Montgomery.
The improvement consists of traffic signal modification, street light installation, handicap ramp work and pavement striping to improve the safety at intersections. Work will start with traffic signal foundations and conduit work at the Orchard Road at Aucutt Road and Fabyan Parkway and Route 31 intersections. Traffic speed signs installation along Orchard Road will also begin the week of Sept. 27.
The overall improvements will stretch from Fabyan Parkway from the Kane/DuPage County line to Main Street, and Randall Road from Orchard Road to Fabyan Parkway.
The above-mentioned roads will remain open during construction but may include temporary daily lane closures and flaggers primarily from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The anticipated completion time for the projects is December 2021, weather permitting.
