The Geneva Police and Fire departments are teaming together to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois with the 2022 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge challenge.
Police officers and firefighters will be plunging at noon Wednesday, March 9 in front of the Geneva Police Department, 20 Police Plaza. The community is invited to watch the festivities.
The Geneva Police Department is seeking donations from the community to meet its fundraising goal of $8,500. Donations can be made online by visiting the Police Department's Polar Plunge web page and clicking the "Roster" tab. All proceeds will go toward supporting athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in Special Olympics Illinois programs. The deadline to submit a donation is Friday, March 11.
