Not road construction specifically, but First Street (Route 31) will be reduced to one lane Tuesday, April 12 as a City contractor takes down a large parkway tree near Fulton Street.
The lane closure, which will require flaggers to direct traffic, is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. and should remain in place until 2 p.m. April 12. The entire roadway may need to be shut down intermittently for a few minutes as crews navigate the tree around power lines in the area.
Motorists should expect delays and are urged to use caution when driving through the work zone.
