The City is working with Geneva Construction on 14 road resurfacing and drainage projects included in the 2022 street improvement program, which started in late July and is expected to be completed in October.
Here is the Sept. 9 update:
Alley South of Geneva Drive
The alley is now driveable for all traffic. Restoration of the grass and other hard surfaces will take place in about two weeks.
Alley South of Britta Lane
Pavement replacement is scheduled to be completed by Sept. 9. Residents will need to park their cars on the street for another five days to give the alley time to harden. Restoration of the grass and hard surfaces will start on Monday, Sept. 26.
Garbage Reminder
Residents on the south side of Britta Lane and the north side of Manchester Course need to put their garbage in front of their homes again Thursday, Sept. 15.
Viking Drive & Kaneville Road
Paving on Viking Drive is scheduled to be completed on Saturday, Sept. 10.
Crews will apply a tack surface on Kaneville Road Sept. 10 in preparation for paving to begin Monday, Sept. 12. Work will continue until Thursday, Sept. 15.
Pioneer Court
With the old surface removed Sept. 9, paving will get underway Sept. 12.
Redwing Drive & Heather Road
Curb and sidewalk removal was delayed one week. Work is now scheduled to start Sept. 12.
As a reminder, the construction timeline outlined for all streets is weather permitting.
