The City is working with Geneva Construction on 14 road resurfacing and drainage projects included in the 2022 street improvement program, which started in late July and is expected to be completed in October.
As a reminder, the construction timeline outlined for all streets is weather permitting. The original update was distributed Sept. 30 and additional information was provided by the contractor Oct. 4:
Western Avenue Cul-De-Sacs
Pavement milling began Oct. 4 on four cul-de-sacs located near Western Avenue, including Ashbury, Croydon, Galway, and Windham courts. Crews plan to put down a tack coat on all four streets Oct. 4 in preparation for the new pavement surface installation scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6. Residents should avoid parking their cars on the streets outside their homes until the project is completed.
Redwing Drive & Heather Road
Driveway repairs will take place the week of Monday, Oct. 3. Pavement is anticipated to be milled with a tack coat applied Wednesday, Oct. 5. The new surface will hopefully be applied later this week, but the work is weather-dependent. Residents should avoid parking their cars on the streets outside their homes until the project is completed.
Britta Lane & Geneva Drive Alleys
Patching repairs took place in the alleys Oct. 3.
Landscape Restoration
The landscaper is expected to be in Geneva the week of Oct. 3 to begin work on the various project sites.
