The City is working with Geneva Construction on 14 road resurfacing and drainage projects included in the 2022 street improvement program, which started in late July and is expected to be completed in October.
As a reminder, the construction timeline outlined for all streets is weather permitting. Here is the Oct. 7 update:
Western Avenue Cul-De-Sacs
The first lift of asphalt was placed Oct. 6 on four cul-de-sacs near Western Avenue, including Ashbury, Croydon, Galway, and Windham courts. The second lift will be done Monday or Tuesday, Oct. 10-11.
Redwing Drive & Heather Road
The first lift of asphalt will be finished Oct. 7, and the second lift is scheduled for Oct. 10.
Britta Lane & Geneva Drive Alleys
Restoration of grass and other hard surfaces is completed. Punch list items will be completed in the next two weeks.
Viking Drive & Kaneville Road
Pavement marking will begin Oct. 10. A section of curb at 2525 Kaneville Road will be removed and replaced in two weeks.
Executive Place
The first lift of asphalt is expected to be down Wednesday, Oct. 12, and the second lift should be done on Friday, Oct. 14.
Pioneer Court
One square of sidewalk still needs to be removed and replaced.
South Street
The pavement was milled Oct. 6, and the first layer of asphalt should be placed on Thursday, October 13.
