A new downtown Geneva restaurant needing a water connection will require a construction crew working Wednesday to Friday, April 5-7, on Third Street south of Campbell Street.Mandrake is planning to move into the former Chianti's Ristorante building, 201 S. Third St, later this spring or summer. The restaurant's water connection will necessitate closing the sidewalk and some on-street parking on the block. Third Street traffic will remain open in both directions for the majority of the project, but lanes will be shifted over to accommodate the construction. There may be times when only one lane is open on Third Street, and flaggers will be present to direct motorists through the work zone.Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling down South Third Street. The schedule is subject to change due to the weather. For more information, call the Geneva Public Works Department Engineering Division at 630-232-1501.
