The City is working with Geneva Construction on 23 road resurfacing and drainage projects included in the 2023 street improvement program, which started in August and is expected to be completed in October. Here is the Sept. 1 update:
Completed Work
The City's contractor has finished the replacing concrete, milling and repaving of:
- Bricher Road from Randall to Peck roads;
- Williamsburg Avenue from Randall Road to Fisher Drive.
Sidewalk and curb concrete replacement has been finished on the following streets:
- Williamsburg Avenue from Randall Road to State Street (Route 38);
- Wakefield Lane from Williamsburg Avenue to Bloomfield Circle (including Paddock Court)
- Third Street from Hamilton to Stevens streets;
- Fifth Street from State to Stevens streets; and
- Lark Court.
Projects Wrapping Up
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of business Sept. 1 for the concrete replacement, milling and repaving of:
- Bridgeport, Hartford and Bedford lanes; and
- Stratford Drive and Regency Court.
Concrete median replacement:
- Williamsburg Avenue at Cambridge Drive
What Is On Deck
Projects that will continue or get underway the week of Sept. 4 include the concrete replacement, milling and repaving of:
- Cape Way;
- Deerfield Way south of Pepper Valley Drive;
- Essex Court; and
- Mead Court.
Other work on the docket will be the milling and repaving of:
- Crawford and Eighth streets;
- Thrid Street from Hamilton to Stevens streets;
- Fifth Street from State to Stevens streets; and
- Wakefield Lane from Williamsburg Avenue to Bloomfield Circle (including Paddock Court)
Construction is weather-dependent and subject to change.
