The City is working with Geneva Construction on 23 road resurfacing and drainage projects included in the 2023 street improvement program, which started in August and is expected to be completed in October. Here is the Sept. 8 update:
Completed Work
The City's contractor has finished:
Replacing Concrete, Milling and Repaving of:
- Bridgeport, Hartford and Bedford lanes;
- Stratford Drive and Regency Court;
- Cape Way;
- Deerfield Way south of Pepper Valley Drive; and
- Essex Court.
Concrete Replacement, Milling, and Binder:
- Crawford and Eighth streets; and
- Mead Court.
Milling
- Third Street from Hamilton to Stevens streets; and
- Fifth Street from State (Route 38) to Stevens streets.
Concrete Median Replacement:
- Williamsburg Avenue at Cambridge Drive
Ongoing Projects
Work Sept. 8 is primarily focused on underground storm sewer projects on Ridge, Briar and Valley lanes and will continue into next week.
What Is On Deck
Projects that will continue or get underway the week of Sept. 11 repaving/final surface on the following:
- Crawford and Eighth streets;
- Third Street from Hamilton to Stevens streets; and
- Fifth Street from State to Stevens streets.
Other work on the docket will be the milling and repaving of Wakefield Lane from Williamsburg Avenue to Bloomfield Circle, including Paddock Court.
Construction is weather-dependent and subject to change.
