Geneva residents headed to the polls to cast their ballots for several open seats on the Geneva City Council during the April 1 consolidated election.

Unofficial election results can be found on the Kane County elections website. Results will remain unofficial until Kane County tabulates the remaining mail-in ballots and certifies the election later this month.

Contested races were on the ballot for the offices of Mayor and alderperson in Wards 3-5. Uncontested races occurred for City Clerk and alderperson in Wards 1-2 and a second seat in Ward 5 (two-year term). No candidates filed for the office of City Treasurer.

After Kane County certifies the election results, the winners will officially take their seats during the May 5 City Council meeting.
