Geneva residents headed to the polls to cast their ballots for several open seats on the Geneva City Council during the April 1 consolidated election.
Unofficial election results can be found on the Kane County elections website. The vote totals are subject to change as Kane County tabulates outstanding mail-in ballots. The election will officially be certified later this month.
Contested Geneva City Council races were on the ballot for the offices of Mayor and alderpersons in Wards 3-5. Uncontested races occurred for City Clerk, alderpersons in Wards 1-2, and a second alderperson seat in Ward 5 (two-year term). No candidates filed to run for City Treasurer. All offices carry a four-year term unless otherwise noted.
After Kane County certifies the election results, the winners are scheduled to take their seats during the May 5 City Council meeting.
