[ARCHIVED] Geneva Lowers Flags, Supports Orlando Following Tragedy

The United States, State of Illinois and City of Geneva will fly at half-staff to honor the lives lost in Orlando, Florida this past weekend.

In the wake of America’s most deadly mass-shooting in history, Geneva stands with the victims’ families, the City of Orlando, Fla. and the LGBT community.

We echo your sentiments that we will not be defined by the act of a cowardly hater. We will be defined by how we respond and how we treat each other.

Geneva pledges to treat everyone, regardless of race, gender, religion and sexual orientation as our neighbors and our partners in vanquishing hatred by sewing peace.
