Residents needing to conduct business with the City of Geneva around the holidays should take note of the City’s holiday schedule.

City Hall and all City buildings, with the exception of the Police and Fire departments, will be closed Friday and Monday, Dec. 23 and 26 for Christmas as well as Monday, Jan. 2 in recognition of New Year’s Day.

Here is the garbage collection schedule for the week of:

Dec. 19

• No change; Thursday and Friday, Dec. 22 and 23

Dec. 26

• Pushed back one day; Friday and Saturday, Dec. 30 and 31

Jan. 2

• Pushed back one day; Friday and Saturday, Jan. 6 and 7

The normal Thursday-Friday pickup schedule will resume the week of the Jan. 9.
