[ARCHIVED] Kane County Starts Recessed Reflective Pavement Marker Program

The annual Kane County Recessed Reflective Pavement Marker Program work will begin the week of Nov. 14, weather permitting.

The work shall include installation of recessed reflective pavement markers onto 12 miles of county highways, including Fabyan Parkway from Kirk Road to the DuPage County line.

This pavement marker project will improve the visibility of the lane markings for the motoring public. The work is anticipated to be completed by the end of November.

Temporary daily lane closures will be required Monday through Friday to accomplish this work.
Motorists need to be prepared to reduce their speed, exercise caution and be extra alert. Drivers must watch for and obey flaggers and other traffic control devices within the work zone. People should expect delays while traveling through the work areas and may want to consider the use of alternate routes while this work is being completed.

A reminder – it is illegal for drivers to talk on a cell phone while driving through a highway
construction work zone.

Questions or concerns may be directed to Ray Johnson at (630) 406-7356. For all Kane County traffic advisories, see the County's website.
