Tours & Visits

Pre-School Tours

The Geneva Fire Department conducts a one-hour station tour for all preschool facilities within the community. Each tour consists of demonstrations, hands-on activities, and classroom participation in the areas of stop, drop, and roll, crawling low in smoke, fire items, and firefighter gear/dress-up. A tour of the apparatus floor to see the fire trucks completes each visit.

Elementary School Visits

The Geneva Fire Department visits all kindergarten through third-grade classes at elementary schools located within the City limits. A special curriculum is written for each grade in order to enhance and build better fire/life-safety skills. All safety skills learned in the classroom are reinforced through take-home papers, coloring books, activity books, and safety checklists.
