The City's contractor, Geneva Construction, will be working on eight road resurfacing and drainage projects as part of the Geneva 2024 street program. Work began in mid-August and is expected to be completed in November, weather permitting. A map and project locations can be found online.
Aug. 30 Update
The City has switched the crosswalk and accessible sidewalk pattern from the south side of Geneva Drive to the north side this week. The contractor replaced the sidewalk on the north side of Geneva Drive in advance of resurfacing the roadway.
Concrete was poured this week for the new sidewalk on the east side of East Side Drive. The new surface will need time to cure before being reopened to the public.
After the Labor Day holiday, crews will then begin work on the eastern curb along East Side Drive. Once that is finished, construction operations will then transition over to replacing the sidewalk and curbs on the western side of East Side Drive. Road resurfacing will occur following the completion of the concrete work.
All road construction is weather-permitting and subject to change.
