Yard waste will be picked up on people’s scheduled garbage collection day beginning with the third full week of March through Nov. 30. Yard waste should be placed in a Kraft brown paper bag, which may not weigh more than 50 pounds.
Residents can place yard waste at the curb without a garbage sticker for the first two weeks of the collection. Starting on the third week of the season, a sticker will need to be affixed to each yard waste bag.
Both the City’s yard waste and curbside leaf collection programs wrap up at the end of November. However, residents with leaves on the ground can take advantage of the leaf bag program during December.
Lakeshore Recycling also does offer an optional 65-gallon yard waste cart to residents for a monthly fee. Call the company’s customer service number to have a cart delivered to your home.
