Geneva Hidden Gems - Inglenook Pantry

Posted on January 23, 2026 at 9:59 AM by Kevin Stahr

Kicking off the new year by reintroducing a hidden gem just off the path in our community. Inglenook Pantry is a true family-run business with deep roots in the Fox Valley, dating all the way back to 1973, when brothers John & Mark Weaver first opened their doors.

In Dutch, the word “ingle” means quiet and “nook” means corner—which is exactly how they got their name. Today, Inglenook Pantry is tucked away on a cozy corner at 415 Stevens St. and has been part of the Geneva community for the past 39 years.

They share their weekly menus on social media and are open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays—with convenient outdoor pickup available after 3:30 pm. One of our favorite things they offer? Their Saturday Market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring local goods like honey, eggs, meats, jams, and jellies from nearby farms.

They are also known for their homemade quiches (the veggie and Denver are local favorites!) and a rotating lineup of comforting soups — usually three to five different flavors each week, available by the pint or quart for cozy days in.

The Weaver family has always believed in supporting neighboring businesses and uplifting the community. Their sister, Becky Weaver, is gearing up for National Pie Day on Friday, Jan. 23, when she will be baking homemade peach crumble, pecan pie, and the classic Shoo-fly pie—a beloved Pennsylvania Dutch dessert.

Becky also owns Becky's Best right here in Geneva and is hosting a Winter Tea Event on Saturday, Jan. 24, at the First Congregational Church of Geneva (tickets are still available). She also has a Valentine’s Day Tea Event on Feb. 14, and tickets are now on sale.

Inglenook is also a proud participant in the Geneva Green Market, a winter farmers' market held in the basement of the First Congregational Church of Geneva. The market runs through April 19.

Be sure to give them a follow to stay up to date on their weekly menus filled with freshly home-cooked meals, boxed lunches, cold & ready dishes, soups, and baked goods.
