Kudos To City Employees

Great Job

In today's digital age, public-sector employees are frequent targets for criticism.

Although compliments are rare, we do see more than most due to the quality of the workforce at the City of Geneva. Sometimes our work is very visible with our police, fire and public works employees out in the community. But many times, it is the behind-the-scenes efforts from our City staff that also deserves recognition.

Public Works - Aug. 21 Power Outage

The Geneva Public Works Department received kudos from several residents via Facebook for their quick response to an Aug. 21 power outage, which started after a contractor's truck crane inadvertently took out power lines and damaged electric poles. The outage impacted 593 customers in the Pepper Valley subdivision and the surrounding area.

Deputy Chief Matt Dean Graduates Police Staff & Command School

Geneva Deputy Chief Matt Dean recently graduated from the prestigious Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command. The School of Police Staff & Command is an intensive leadership and management education program that helps prepare experienced law enforcement professionals for success in senior command positions.

Public Works Responds To A Power Outage

The Geneva Public Works Department received kudos from several residents via Facebook for their quick response to an April 19 power outage that impacted 426 customers in the downtown, South Street, Southampton Drive, and the Pepper Valley subdivision.
